3 Ethical Questions in One Day: #2: Selling Info about Doctors

I am posting 3 medical ethical questions today, all without any preliminary discussion by me but a reference for each so that my visitors, if they desire, can review the issue more completely before responding. Question #2: Should information identifying physicans be sold by the American Medical Association to pharmaceutical companies so that the physician's prescribing habits can be collected and used for marketing purposes by the pharmaceutical company representatives visiting doctors in their offices?
